ATC Index with DDDs

The WHO Collaborating Centre for Drug Statistics Methodology publishes an updated version of the complete ATC index with DDDs annually.  The ATC index is available in electronic format (Excel or XML) and can be downloaded from a registered user account. Access is provided via the ordering portal Orders ATC/DDD.

Lists of new ATC codes, DDDs and alterations, which is normally made available in November/December can be accessed and downloaded free of charge from Orders ATC/DDD.

Please note that printed copies of the ATC Index and the ATC/DDD Guidelines are no longer provided.

Access to a searchable version of the ATC Index with DDDs (including text from the Guidelines) is available free of charge on this website (ATC/DDD Index 2026).
